Advice on hackamores!.... please!

I am considering getting horsey a hackamore, as he has recently sustained an injury on his mouth which needed 15 clips,which I posted about last night. ( He is doing really well and was pinging about the field this morning with his two friends!)

I am not considering introducing this until he is healed completely.

As I have no knowledge about the type of hackamores available and sizes etc. I wondered if any of you guys could give me some advice?

I wouldnt.. I would look at other bitless options.. Hackamores are strang bits in even the best of hands. How about looking at

I one a similar designed one in 2001 and used on a horse that had had some teeth out. It was a Gentle Touch bridle and worked wonders!

Hackamores are ok, but if you don't have the softest of hands or are novicey I wouldn't reccomend them as they can be extremely harsh..
As Nailed has said there are kinder bitless bridles out there..
