Advice on Horse

Hi Im looking for some advice I have a Horse shes 22 now we bought her early this year as a "light hack" for my mum but sadly since we got Her a few months in she just hasnt been right, Shes fully sound in Walk but in Trot is mildly lame and dips, We have had the vets out and they have just said Arthritis, Gave her Bute and not more they can do.. Shes a Big girl Used to be a carriage horse so alot of weight on her but shes a happy girl, runs around the field is very happy and loves fuss, Vet Physio has said keep her walking out etc, But I dont want to keep her in work for the sake of me wanting her to be! I just dont know what to do Sadly we need to move and Im thinking of retiring her to a field near us because our new livery is Restricted Turnout and she needs to be out 24/7, Do I put her on Loan as a companion or find a field and get her a companion? I dont think shes in pain but shes Uncomfortable when worked if that makes sense.. Just really wanting the Best for her!

Gentle consistent exercise is often the best thing for arthritic horses, so she probably is fine being ridden in walk but you are right that being confined to a stable, especially if she isn't used to it, probably won't be right for her.
