Hi everyone,
Apologies for my first post being a question!
I've been having real difficulty in finding a saddle to fit my horse. He's a TB (stocky), has a fair amount of wither but then has quite a straight, flat, short back. Most saddles lift up at the back, but after a lot of reading I believe the Ideal saddles might be suitable for him (though please correct me if I'm wrong!).
He currently has a Thorowgood T4 with a wide gullet in, but I really don't like synthetic saddles and it does lift up at the back. I was looking at a second hand Ideal VSD in a wide and was wondering if anyone could offer any advice on how wide Ideals come up? I'd be buying without trying it on as it's an online buy, but would be getting the saddler out to check it once purchased.
Any advice much appreciated
