Any one got any good ideas on where to look for a horse to loan (mother/daughter share). Have tried looking in local tack shops, etc but am struggling to find any.

All ideas gratefully received!

Horsemart loans section is free to use so there is often quite a few on there. I would also ask around for word of mouth if you know anyone horsey as thats how most people have found/put their horses out on loan around me as you then know the people or someone else who knows them :)

Over the years I have had most success by putting wanted ads on websites - I advertised twice on horsemart a couple of years apart and found a horse for loan both times. I also advertised last year on a local horsey website, had a few offers and picked the best one!!!

freeads and preloved are good sites, but the search options are not so good, so you will have to trawl through.

But def put up a wanted ad locally - that's how I got my daughter's first pony. The family weren't even thinking of selling him til they saw my wanted ad !

thanks for all the advice, will try wanted ad in local tack shops. I'm in Staffordshire/Derbyshire border area and looking for a 14'2 to 15'2 for a mother / daughter share. Got to be sensible enough to help daughter learn more
