Advice on my horses leg

Hello, this is my first post, its just a small (hopefully!) query about my mare. Last year she was kicked in the field on her right thigh, she had a lump for a few days, i iced it, and hosed it down every day, she wasnt lame nor in any pain. i have started working her much more over the past few months and i have noticed a small hole in her muscle on the same site she was kicked. she still isnt in any discomfort. i was just wondering what you all would do. thank you

I wonder if she had a tear in the muscle as a result of the kick?

would there be anything i could do to make it better? i feel so awful for not noticing earlier!!

i would say it was some kind of muscle damage. wouldnt worry to much if she is in no discomfort. just keep an eye on it.

No I doubt it. You might want to get your vet to give it the once over thought before you really start upping the workload, just to ensure that all is well.
