Hello All,

My two little treasures are entering a fancy dress competition at the yard on Saturday and I need paint for both horses and kids. Eldest is going as Boudica so she needs Braveheart style war paint and horse needs to be painted with Iceni markings. Youngest is going as a song angel and we want to paint her shetland with musical notes. It all has to be done free hand and this might be an awful suggestion, but would poster paint (the type the schools use) be ok for an hour? Horsies and children will be washed straight after and it seems to coat their skin at school with no bad effects. Or will it bring the equines out in a rash?

Can I also apologise for not formally introducing myself? It seems to be the done thing here and I didn't do it. Hello to everyone, I'm new!!!

hiya!. perhaps a patch test would be a good idea, but i don't see why it wouldn't work perfectly well. (as long as it doesn't rain)

snazarro, is good paint and can be bought from argos.

It is specially for face panting. I think poster paint would crack as soon as it dries, also Toys R us sell face paint

The Quartermarker company sell spray on paints to use with their stencils. I guess you could make your own stencils for the notes etc.
