I am just about to advertise my newforest pony for sale, and would like some advice on price, and how the advert is worded. I have not sold a pony before (only horses), and so am completely out of the loop when it comes to prices.

She is approx 12.2hh (have measured her with a proper stick, but not an expert, lol). Fully registered and branded newforest pony - amazing lineage, including Sunnydale Bay Rhum, and some of the 'Farriers' line ponies. She is 8 years old, and I have owned her since she was 3yo. She has been on loan for the past four years, and only came home as both girls had outgrown her.

She has done all ponyclub activies, including mounted games and lots of 'handy pony' classes, walking over tarpaulins and bags etc. - never going to be a JA pony, or have FEI potential, lol, but a very safe and happy little pony - loves kids, lets them crawl under her, on her - whatever!

100% on roads, in company or on her own. Has seen trains, lorries, tractors, combines etc and doesn't flinch. Absolutely super on the road! Child can do everything with her - catch her, brush her, tack her up, pick feet out etc.

Great to box, shoe. Good to hunt on or off lead rein. Would show in M&M classes, moves well, clean legs etc and can look quite flashy with right rider.

Sturdy little pony, has been ridden by small adults as well as children, and just takes everything in her stride - real pony club type pony. Very affectionate. I was thinking of asking about £2250 for her, to include tack - some tell me this is too much, others saying too little. To be honest, I just want her to go to a home where she will be enjoyed. I would keep her for my niece, but at the moment, my sister lives over 100 miles away, and it just isn't fair to keep a pony to be ridden once a month.

She has never had laminitis, sweet itch or any health problems etc. Here are a couple of pics - would love some feedback, and some help wording ad please....

Can't see her being worth more than £150, but I'll be generous and take her off your hands for £175......

Seriously though I think the going rate for 12.2hh Newfies her age is about £2500, depends how good your tack is etc etc so you could ask more.

Can't help you with the wording, never sold a horse I get too attached!!

The Perfect Childerns Pony Club Pony.
12.2HH, eight year old regiestered New Forest with 'Farrier' pedigree. Completed all pony club activities, handy pony, mounted games etc and hunted off the lead rein. 100% to catch, shoe, box, travel, clip(?) etc and good in traffic including lorries, farm vechcials and trains. Same home since 3YO now sadly out grown.

I think the price is correct : )

Oh god, she sounds absolutly perfect for my daughter, If I was looking at this moment in time, I'd be on my way to see her, you're not too far from me. I bet you'll sell her quick she seems an absolute dream!!

Price sounds about right maybe a little low depending on tack etc. She should sell easily , that type of pony is always in demand. pc website is always good.
