My little collie, Flyn took poorly last night. She spent all night sort of wretching. I tried having a feel and massaging her throat but she was at it all night. This morning there was a lot of saliva around and some white froth. She looks bright in herself and is running around and barking as normal but she seems to have taken to eating a lot of grass. I haven't given her any breakfast and whipped her off to the vet this morning and he's kept her in for observation and possible xrays because he thinks she may have something lodged in her throat. She may well have picked something up - we live on a farm and she's always up to mischief and off out and about.
But....I've just been reading on here and am now worried it's Kennel Cough.
If she's got something stuck what does that mean - an operation/stay in the vets etc and if she's got Kennel Cough what does that mean - antibiotics and what about my other collie?
My vet is going to call me later but I'm just a bit worried - she's a tough little thing and is normally very robust. I'm just a bit worried that he's kept her in - he must think it's serious.
Any words of advice or just a 'pull yourself together you pathetic woman' would be appreciated.
