I wanted Ariat boots for ages! I finally treated myself and bought a pair of Ariat Bromont's last Oct and I LOVED them. They were so comfy and looked great. After 6 months of use though both the popper on one boot and the zip on the other have broken and they are now unwearable. I'm borrowing some boots off my mum but they are so uncomfortable. Stupidly, I had a clear-out not long before they broke and threw out the receipt! There is no chance I can send them back. (I have complained to Ariat though! They haven't replied.)

It's knocked my confidence a bit as I expected them to have lasted a lot longer given their price and I don't know what to trust now. I was wondering if someone could recommend a good-quality make of long riding boots that will last! Although not massive, I do have big calves (I had to buy the wide leg boot last time) Some advice and recommendations would be great. Thank you!

Often the store you bought from will have record of your purchase. My daughter went through this - I bought her a pair of Ariats for Christmas and a seam ripped the first time she put them on. I'd lost the receipt but the store had a record of the purchase and so we were able to get a new pair and they've been fine.

You might try checking on that - it would be a shame to completely lose the investment. As for another make, I have a pair of (I think) TuffRider that I bought used and have lasted me for well over a year now. They're comfortable and durable - not the big name that Ariat is but I'm very happy with them.

Might be worth a try. It's been nearly 9 months now though so I'm not gonna hold out much hope.

Not a make I've ever hear of but I've just had a quick look and they seem great! I'll do a bit more research on them once I've exhausted all options with the Ariats.

Thanks

no, i didn't buy mine from them either, I bought them at my local saddlery, but ariat are pretty proud of their reputation and will generally do what they can to help!

seriously, give them a call the worst they can say is no!

If you paid for them with a credit card, you should be able to get a copy of the statement as proof of purchase or as sugested see if the shop still has a record of the purchase.

If you get no joy that way,try finding a shoe shop localy-they should eb able to replace the zip and sort the popper out :)
