I'm currently riding in my country boots which don't give a lot of support and I have been having a fair bit of ankle pain. I have seen a physio and the pain has been reduced but I am looking for some long riding boots that have good ankle support, any recommendations? Something that I could wear around the yard as well as riding in would be best, and good value for money is essential! Thanks!

if you have small enough feet, definitely get the junior bromonts-they're only £150! bargain! got mine a few months ago and love love love them.

Sorry to hijack this thread but i was about to post a similar question - i was looking at some riding boots last night as i've only ever ridden in rubber riding boots so decided to treat myself to something a bit more modern and comfortable for ankle support. However when looking online most of them seem to have treads on the bottom??

I know i'm a bit old school but i've always been taught that treads + riding = a big no no??

Ariat definitely. I have the Devon quantum pro paddock boots and have no ankle pain whatsoever. I'm crippled in anything else!
