Advice on Rug wrecking sweet itch pony

Hi,

Just wondering if anybody could suggest/recommend a very hard wearing rug that will withstand my sweet itch ponies tendency to scratch/rip them?

The only real solution.

The itch will remain for up to six weeks after the control of the itching but the itching is hard to get under control without a rug so its a vicious circle. My vet said not to use any shiny new rugs until the sweet itch had been under control for some time

Fencing only with electric fencing (and using a soft flexible trug for water) will start to get things under control
