I am now in a position where I need to sell my 14.2 in order to buy my daughter who is lacking confidence. Something a little less forward going.
It’s going to be an emotional sale and I just wondered what advice you could give me on the best way to do it.
I have considered sales livery, but the cost could soon mount up.
All advice appreciated. We have the new pony coming on a loan with a view to buy for six weeks to see how my daughter gets on. We were supposed to share my 14.2 and whilst I have the best fun on her, she’s just too forward for my little one.

If your pony is good, sound and just forward going, it should be quite straightforward to sell yourself without needing sales livery. Unless you want to be detached from the process. Where to advertise will depend on what the pony can do and the market she is suited for. It’s probably a good time of year - apparently it’s nearly spring even if it doesn’t feel much like it.

Well done for prioritising your daughter and her confidence. Remember this when you have a wobble and find it sad.

No advise sorry, i sold my heart pony ,who i had owned 6 years, 3 years ago this june and i still regret it every day 🥹 i think just try and find the best home you can which gives you some comfort in knowing shes gone to a nice place. Luckily the people that bought my pony keep in contact and she has had a lovely home with them, although sadly I think they will be selling her after this season as they have outgrown her x

Depends what the pony is good at.
If she would suit an older child for pony club I'd put the word out amongst other parents. A lot of good ponies sell by word of mouth.

Thanks for your kind words. Appreciate it. It’s her turn and want her to have fun. Not be scared.

Would you be able to loan your pony out for a year or two until your daughter is experienced enough to ride her? If sounds likely that she'll be a good second pony for her to move on to.
.
If money was no object then yes, but I need to have funds to replace. I’m considering LWAVTB.

Yes I’ve started doing that. Our PC has quite a young membership. It’s a good call.

Could you contact your local pony club to see if they have any suggestions? There may be a family who would be interested in a swap deal for a few years if they have an older child ready to move on but a bit of an age gap which means the youngest isn't ready for the older one's pony yet?

Would you buy her back? I’m scared of always regretting the sale.
