Forgive my ignorance of the subject but I am a complete virgin to the art of showing.
I am showing my lot at local level soon and would like a few tips if possible, so as to avoid mistakes if I can. I have suitable bridles for them all but I would like advice on the browbands please? There will be a traditional cob/gypsy vanner, TB and a Clydesdale Cross. Am I correct in thinking that the Clydesdale cross will be treated as a hunter type for showing purposes as I wont be showing him as a traditional heavy horse breed? I have read that the cob can be shown in a coloured velvet browband, he is a piebald. But I am unsure on the browbands for the TB and Clydie cross. Do they have to be flat hunter style, rather than velvet? Also is bling-bling not appreciated either as both the cob and Clydie have bling/bling browbands on their everyday bridles. Sorry for sounding a numpty but ideally I wanted to add a bit of colour to them if possible. The Clydie is a bay and the TB is brown in coat colour if that is any help?
Thankies for any advice people can give me.
