Basically I have 2 jr terriers a 6 month pup and 5 year old.
The older one has a sensitive tummy and can get itchy and after trying him on many many dry foods the expensive and cheap the only one he can tolerate is purina beta for sensitive dogs. After looking at the ingredients I'm keen not to feed it, very high cereals and only 14% meat!!!!
Basically I'm thing of doing half and half at first just to get in the swing of things and for ease for when I go away in may then maybe full after. Is that possible??
Also if I go raw will it go straight through him??? Some foods do that too him.

He loves raw carrots so hoping the veg bit will be easy!!

The pup I'm not so worried about he seems to have a stomach of steal and he came from a yard and I think was chucked whatever!!!

Anyway any advice greatly received!! Thank you

There's a great sticky at the top of the board :)

I would just switch him over, you are not supposed to feed raw and dry within about 12 hours of each other.

I don't do veggies really but mine will get a carrot every so often :)

I think I am gonna give it a go, my friend got some massive meaty bones for next to nothing from the butchers, she let mine have a Knaw on it and they were like lions !!! Lol. Gonna make a trip there this week and see what he has on offer!!

I've put on a few pounds after finding a very generous butcher, he gives me so much for free I feel like I have to buy the sweet chilli bangers...and the steak and cheese and bacon burgers...and the pork and apple burgers.....

Oh yer never thought of that!!! I always had a thing for lamb mmmmm in the slow cooker, I can see me getting a big bit every time I go in there. I tend to avoid it in super markets very expensive for rubbish cuts!!!

I did the half and half thing when i switched, BUT it was Kibble AM then raw PM- not the two together, and it was just while I was using up the rest of his kibble.

My wolf had an itching problem. I started in Raw in June and the itching disappeared. I found chicken was also a problem for him. He's been having some chicken carcasses recently and he's developed some scabby areas - but no itching.

My old girl went from crying when she chewed kibble to joyously chomping on rib bones!

You have to do your homework and TAKE IT SLOW.

I documented my whole process in the Raw sticky at the top of the page, and others have provided excellent advice - pour through all of that and you'll get the advice you need.

The worst mistake people make is to go too fast. I used this website as gospel at first - if you follow it you will help your dog through the transition
