First of all check what you're covered for with your BE membership. Or Pony Club Membership.

I used to have rider insurance with NFU when my children rode a friend's pony every week. The pony owner didn't have him insured and so I thought it prudent to buy rider insurance for my children. It was £50 each.

If you speak to someone at NFU they will go through with you exactly what is covered and what is not and then you can add on whatever you think you need. I have always found NFU very helpful

I use NFU for horse rider insurance, they seem to be more flexible, provide more cover and are cheaper than other insurers I approached.
