I am hoping to get my youngster out doing his first season with BE this year. I have planned to do Aston & Tweseldown Unaffiliated's in April followed by Mattingley Unaffiliated in early May. I have just moved myself and my horse to Buckinghamshire from West Sussex and was hoping to get him out to his first BE80 in mid to late May with a view to doing intro's after his first event. I have been looking at Keysoe and Ascott Under Wychwood for his first event but I haven't competed at either venue before, does anyone have any tips or advice on either venue please?

Agree keysoe is very nice for an 80. Took a baby there for her first BE late last season. She was awesome, I rode like a knob :biggrin3:

Ascott is a lovely, short course. There's a bit of a hill but it's beautifully presented and nothing testing in the 80cm.

Thank you guys! Very exciting! We'll see how we go with the first couple of unaffiliated events but Keysoe followed by Ascott sounds like a good plan. Goodluck with the start of the season everyone and thank you for your help!
