Hello,
Would love some advice on brands of travelling boots most likely to be suitable sizewise for sec. A ponies.

I find "pony" size of everything has such huge variation, and I'm not specting travel boots to be any different! :D

If you've a sec. A what do you use?

We used to loan a Sec A with dainty legs and feet, and the small pony sized shaped ones were a nightmare on as they were far too big unless you folded them over outwards at the tops. She also had some foal style boots - just fleecey inside softer outer which velcro'd on. Think they were Shires ones?

Thank you! I'll have a look for those.

The dinky ponies range & bijou stuff is good for littles. Haven't used their travel boots, we got some a friend had made years ago. Cuddly ponies range is also small

Just pondering here, because I'm putting off going outside because it's a tad nippy, does anyone use good old fashioned bandages anymore?

I use bandages over pads on my little Welshie. Not only do they protect but I find they offer more leg support than travel boots and don't slip.

Bandages?

The cottage craft ones .. They may be glittery pink but they fit my fine welsh a perfectly :)

Oh crikey... glittery pink... don't tell my daughters! They'd dress the ponies entirely in pink if they could!!

ETA thank you everyone. I will check out the cuddly/dinky options but may well go for good old fashioned bandages. It's just that when I'm travelling the ponies without any additional adult help, I was thinking boots woudl be quicker!!

Enfys- I do but daughters v independent & at 7 don't trust her bandage skills, doing a decent tail is her limit lol.
Old nag- after much reluctance you will give in to this need for them to dress pony in pink, & forever more hide your face when you are seen with pony in public.

I think I've almost given in already.. pink headcollar on one, purple on the other... pink brushes. When dd1 found out you can buy pink glittery hoof oil she almost cried with happiness. (Being mean old Mum I didn't buy it though!).

Thanks everyone, this forum is brilliant for all sorts of advice.:D

With lots of white legs my welshies wear bandages. Have to be careful which ones to get for the yearling As as the velcro doesn't always meet in the right place. Bijou or snuggyhoods for ours.
We just use fleece bandages no pads

Rhino pony ones are pretty small, as are the amigo ones (although the rhino ones are smaller).

Thank you both. I've got loads of investigating to do this evening now! Both ponies are grey (well, white really) so the poo-avoidance is also a consideration....!
