I have a small dog, a terrier, although she is not tiny. I also have a small car, a 2 seater sports.

Puppy is coming up to 4 months old and so far she has gone in a box on the passenger floor, which was OK for trips to vet, etc. but she is starting to look a bit uncomfortable and travels with her nose pointing up as if she is trying to get a stream of air over her face. She doesn't just curl up and go to sleep like she did when tiny.

So what should I do about travelling her? The advice in the books is on the floor, but I find that often the sun shines directly onto her which makes her hot. She has never been car sick and I wonder if putting her in a travel bag/cage might make her sick as she could see the world going past. Also anything on the front seat would need to be fastened in with the seat belt. If she is in the car, whether on the seat or the floor there really isn't any room for a passenger anyway.

Anyone got any experience or advice about this?

Harness attached directly to seat belt via contraption thingy (can get in pets at home) with her sat on front seat.
