advice on travelling one horse

I prefer to travel mine with the partition in - it gives him more support and he seems happy that way. However, I think the answer to this one is trial and error - it really is a case of whatever suits your horse best.

I say out as it also helps balance the load if they can be centered assuming your trailer is side by side style. If it is one in front and one in back I would just leave it in.

I do the same. But depends on your horse.

I always take mine out for my mare as she can spread her legs out more she seems much happier that way she gets really upset with it in.

My boy has travelled quite happily with partition still in and he's 16.3hh with not much balance.
Although my friend did say he had his tail hanging out over the bottom ramp

I travel Ali without a partition as he is extremely difficult to load with partitions. I used to always travel Castle with partitions though, he didn't mind at all.

It's an individual thing.....my lad travels well with the partition in. If there was a problem I'd probably remove the partition & see if it improved his travelling. I've never had to do this though.

my lad is 16.3 and up till now is hopeless at travelling with a partition in a trailer, falls over(lorry no prob)! If i take the partition out he is fine, think it depends on each individual and how much leg space they need to balance themselves!!x
