I have a mare who is a cob but unregistered (passport just says "Welsh Cob", no recorded breeding, not with any society) approx 15hh.

I'm hoping to do a few small local shows with her this year but I'm unsure what classes she'll be eligible for.

Would she be able to go in ridden hunter classes or is she too cobby? And would she be able to go in part bred classes if they don't specify that horses have to be registered part bred?

Any other classes people think? It's for experience more than anything, I'm not worried about being placed etc, just want to get her out and about and seeing it all.

I've tried to put a picture of her on, fingers crossed its worked!

At local shows you could get away with part bred M&M if they don't have to be registered but she should really be trimmed up and plaited to do any classes as she is not a registered native, if there is a PC pony/ RC horse class she could do them, also family pony, she is not really a hunter as she is rather small and ponyish, all shows have different schedules so you really need to look at them and then decide if there is anything suitable for you, there usually will be something.

Just enter some local shows; judges are generally helpful, and will give advice as to which classes would best suit your horse. Even if you're in the 'wrong' class, it's all experience for your mare
