I know of at least on dog walker locally who doesn't have insurance, which is frankly terrifying. She even states it on her FB page as a reason why she is cheaper than others in the area! I think far too many people think that if their dog accidentally causes harm (by anything other than biting) then it is an 'accident' and/or the animal's fault, so they won't be held responsible. I suppose it's the same thinking that leads some owners to think that their untrained dog's general acts of undesirable behaviour is nothing to do with them (or HE'S JUST BEING FRIENDLY!)
