Hi
I am about to purchase my first yearling, a Cob x Section D filly (approx 10 months old). Her current owner has advised me she was rescued in sept last year (she was underweight at the time) and has since been fed Calm and Condition with Herbal Chaff, pony nuts and chopped apple and carrots, turned out 24/7 so plenty of grass and no hay.
I'm worried she is too young for Calm and Condition and have read so many different opinions on the right and wrong youngstock feeds I thought it would be better to get a direct answer, if there is one!
Is this combination a healthy mix for her or do you have any suggestions?
If it is a case of a change to her diet, over how long should this process take?
When she moves to her new yard she will be turned out daily however not 24/7.
Thanks in advance
