Advice Please... (After a fall)

It is most likely to be muscular- unless you have interesting tingling or loss of sensation in your arms or hands. You will know if you have done real damage because it will REALLY hurt.

i would wait and see how it is tomorrow, and trundle down to casualty if you are still worried, but give them to get rid of the saturday night fighters first.

Give it a couple of days and a few painkillers and go see your GP on monday if it's not getting any better.

I don't think it's worth sitting in A&E for 3+ hours unless it's really causing you problems.

My neck is almost always sore and stiff after I've fallen off. It's a bit like mild whiplash and should be fine in a few days time. Just don't overdo it for a couple of days, put some deep heat on it and take some painkillers.

If it's not better in a couple of days go and get it checked.

If it's any help I fell on my head, hard, novice eventing last weekend and have not been to visit the local GP, or A&E or anyone else! It took about 5 days to stop hurting, and last night I slept on someone's floor and was in agony again this morning. I am pretty convinced that as I still have full range of movement and never had any loss of sensation or tingling that I am fine, but if you are worried, then get it checked out - that's why we pay tax!

You can see a vid of my fall if you search through comp riders for my post on Goring Heath Novice. That might make you feel better
