I'm worried she may be a bit small to hunt this year?

I just knew before I opened the thread that you would be riding that poor pony, how could you, it is disgusting and you certainly cannot take her hunting this season she needs at least another year to be mature enough to hunt.

Get some conditioning cubes and feed her up, then she'll take up your leg better :P though you may have to roll her over the hedges!

When I was about 11 I read a book about a writer who bought a young pony for next to nothing (Summer with Tommy), broke him in herself despite not having ridden for many years and their antics together. He was 11.2hh and there is a wonderful picture of her dressed up and riding him to hounds despite her being no midget. She did manage to get a small but experienced older child to school him etc while she concentrated on his ground manners and knowledge etc.

I want the view from your sandschool!!!

It's to die for. There is a lake at the end (reservoir), woods that have a herd of at least thirty red deer. And on a clear day the view is up to one hundred miles over Manchester (behind me) and out to Wales (to my right). I thank my lucky stars every day :)

Not everyone likes my school though. There's a drop of eight feet down off the side! It's sand and rubber, with added dog hair and sheep wool. I added the hair and wool to stabilise it and it does a fantastic job.
