Advice please - colt moved in next door..

Both are acting normal so far, he came over to say hello to mine when i turned them out but nothing that worried me happened. I've been regularly checking out the window. They seem to be grazing normally away from each other. She's not in season at the moment though.

We've had her 16 years and she's not really a fence breaker/jumper but obviously never had her next a stallion. She has had a foal but at a stud which kept them well separated.

To be honest, providing you both have electric fencing up a meter away from the boundary on each side, there really shouldn't be any problems.

Well no fencing has gone up yet. It seems he is out at night and in during the day but there is an overlap as i turn out very early and i'm not sure what time he was brought in yesterday, he was in when i went to muck out at lunch. Plus mine were living out until all this rain and will go out again when the weather improves.

So far there have been no problems. My electric is keeping them far enough apart to stop any contact. They went over to say hello this morning but none of them got wound up. He was gently pushing the fencing this morning for a few minutes when my mare was flirting and his little companion is chomping my fences so should i text and ask when the fencing is going up and remind her she will be liable for any damage?
