My TB mare half twisted a hind shoe off in the stable Friday night, and the clip embedded itself into her sole - poor pony :-( Farrier was brilliant, was with us mid am, safely removed shoe and found heat and raised pulse. I have been hot poulicing since, and mare has stayed sound with no heat or swelling up leg. But the pulse is still strong - could this just be bruising (trying to remain positive!) or is it more likely to be an infection?..... Farrier will come back in a day or two. Thoughts please?.......
