Well my lorry is going to have to go, really cannot squeeze Finn into my lovely lorry anymore. So its going to have to go, I prefer Lorrys but don't really want to go back to 7.5 ( lorry at the mo is 5.5 ) but there isn;t enough headroom and I don;t have a massive budget. I quite like the look of Eqiu-trek's as you can travel horses rear facing. I would appreciate any advice. I have read the earlier post re trailers and it was very informative. He is not a brillinat traveller/loader and I just want something that would make travelling less stressfull.

Is there not anyone local you could hire the trailer to trial him???(i know you will have to pay for hire of trailer),we have a guy here that hires out ifors, not expensive either!!My lad has to travel on his own in a trailer so a lorry be prefrable for me specially if i wanted to go with someone!!Sorry cant be much help!!

For a big horse I'd try and hire the trailer you were interested in before buying. I didn't fancy driving a 7.5t for some strange reason so ended up buying a 6.25t cos my girl wasn't keen on a trailer.

I think you are being a little oversensitive, especially if your post in the Suggestion forums relates to this thread?

The question you have asked is quite hard to answer and I suspect that is why you did not get the replies you wanted as quick as you wanted them. It is tricky to answer because all horses are different and what suits one won't always suit another. I think the advice offered above is good advice- you'll only find out what suits your horse via trial and error- hiring different types of transport might help you get a feel for what suits your horse
