Just wondered if anyone has any advice.
Tonight I was riding paddy, just as I was cooling down he went for a massive wee. Excellent I thought, then he wouldn't wee in his stable. However when I put him in, he went for another massive wee literally 5mins later. His bed is banked up as he is out 24/7 at the mo so it splashed all over him. I washed him off so it didn't attract flies. Just as I put the bucket back, he did another huge wee. I washed him off again then turned him out in the field where he did another huge wee, that was the 4th in half an hour :-(
do you think there is something wrong??
He seems ok in himself, his glands are slightly up, but often are as he is out 24/7 and when it gets hot and humid. The vet is coming out a week on Tuesday to do his vaccinations, maybe I should wait untill then to speak to him and monitor him, but would love to hear if anyone else has had this or if i am being melodramatic??? Worried :-(

No he is on restricted grass, he is an exceptionally good doer, and hasn't changed paddocks, routine, feed etc. He had two days off yesterday and the day before, but that's not anything abnormal. He seemed hot after excercise, but it was very muggy and thundery. He had had a drink from his trought when I brought him in....but certainly not enough to warrant wee's like that :-S

Thanks patsie2, I did wonder that, but it's not really been that hot here u til tonight when it was quite close. I know it's prob worse if they had been 4 tiny wee's as that would be more if a sign of infection ( I suffer from constant kidney infections and urinary infections -long story) he didn't look like he had problems passing urine or that it hurt, it just seemed a he'll of a lot in such a short space of time.

I will monitor him and see what happens and stop being such a worryer!!

If they were very short, strong smelling/colour then I'd be worried but I'd just ask your vet when he's out :)

Remember that he will be drinking a lot due to the hot weather! Everyone (including humans) wee a lot when they drink more, often regardless of the weather so I wouldn't worry. As long as he's happy in himself and there is no blood, I would wait until Tuesday. Keep an eye on him just in case. :)

Yeah had they been short ones/strong smelling/difficult to pass I would have had the vet straight out, I'm really prone to urine/kidney infections due to a ling term kidney problem! So can spot that a mile off!!! Just never had experience of the other extreme!!!! I'm worrying over nothing I think!!! Thanks guys, just wanted some reassurance! Will keep my eyes open. This is what's great about this forum, on your own you worry like mad, but get other peoples perspective helps you panic less and the advice is great. Really appreciate everyone help.
