Disaster has struck, my poor mare has managed to damage the tendon that runs over the back of her pastern. She has been scanned and has 3 small tears in the tendon but no damage to anything else there. I have been told by several people that this is a difficult injury to get right due to scarring etc. Has anyone got any advice please on the best treatment for her, I realise it will be lots of time off but I have never really experience this particular injury before and want to give her the best chance of being sound again.
