Hello All,

Had my jumping lesson with S on saturday - not had one for about a month!!

Anyways im starting to get to my wits end with him, if we are doing things that are 2 boring for him he just doesnt listen and tries to skive as much as possible - ie by spooky at anything, and poking his nose out as far as possible and ignoring my leg.

Then when we were shortening and lengthening strides inbetween a couple of poles in canter - from 5 to 10 etc he was amazing, completely listened to everthing i asked!!

Not really sure how i can stop him from being a skive sometimes, i try and keep it as varied as poss with lunging, schooling and hacking but he is still impossible sometimes.

Not sure what to do, does anyone have a horse like this?

Advice please!!

S X

I would think whether it is you as a rider who have 'easy, not required concentration' schooling patterns/heights and exercises that you pay more attention to?
I used to ride a horse who would give 5% to the rider's 50% but would also give 200% to the rider's 100%...
