this is going to be a long post so bear with me!
Basic background - started riding at 5, got a 3 year old when I was 12, sold her, bought another horse who was PTS in 2002. Also begged/borrowed rides and had loan horses in between. Last horse as above PTS in 2002, I quit riding and horses totally. Started again last May, realised what I was missing, started sharing 2 horses who then went out of full loan
Now back from Talland, confidence through the roof and desparate to ride and practice but no horse
Now trying to make a decision and don't know what to do
- try to beg borrow steal rides
- share a horse
- look for one on loan
- give up
Decision made harder as
- share horse - all seem to be £35 a week plus, I am willing to care for more than one horse but seems daft to share if I can put that £35 into savings
- loan horse - worked out at £300 a month for everything inc contingency fund - not sure if it is doable and Mum v against it
Gentle advice pls, I have been in tears today trying to work out what to do, I've neve before been in a position of being desparate to ride, and not able to
I don't want to go and have lessons as I need to practice what I have learnt, and I want the care and chores of a horse too
Wispa Gold if you get this far!
