Advice please

My shire horse has started to produce a lot of slimy saliva and then he spits it out. It seems to have grass in it. this has only started happening since it got really warm. Has anyone any idea why he should be doing this.

He may find the grass a bit dry and difficult to deal with at the moment. But he could also have a problem with his mouth. It would probably be worth getting a vet or an equine dentist to have a look just in case.
