I was wondering how my mare is looking? Having recently moved yards she is now on lots more grass than Im used to, so constantly aware of her weight. I know she is more covered than I would like her to be.

Sorry the pics are so big :/

I think she looks in very good condition, but wouldn't let her get any bigger... she looks like she has filled out more on her rear.... (in a good way) have you been working her more from behind?

Looks just right. I wouldnt let her get any bigger. I know if I stand behind mine and can see a belly he has too much food!

She looks very nice.

all about romeo - yes I have recently got a pessoa thing, which seems to be helping her build up the correct muscle :)

Thank you indie999 and shysmum

She looks super! Herr topline is coming through a little now, and she is well covered :) As the others have said, no bigger, but not much less either :) xx

She looks better for it :) she defiantly looks like she is working more from behind so pessoa is doing its job... well done :)

I'd say she's carrying too much weight now, though her neck looks more muscled which is obviously better. I'd consider muzzling for some of the time she's out to reduce the fat, while keeping the extra muscle by maintaining the exercise.

:DI'd agree with JTFD, i think weight wise she looks great in the before picture, she doesn't look fat at all now, just better before but her neck looks ten times better! the exercise your doing seems to be working well.

I agree :) I prefer her weight before and her muscle now... just trying to decide on best muzzle to get her, as she has never been muzzled before.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I used to use a bucket type Shires muzzle on Fergs till he worked out how to break it and remove it  It worked well all of last year before he had the epiphany!
