I have a colt foal, born March, by Two Tone, a coloured Sports horse, out of a Holtein mare by Landmark. The problem is i couldnt get the covering certificate from the stallion owner after months of chasing and eventually the society (BSPA) tells me Two Tone is gelded and the owner has moved abroad, and im not the only one without a covering certificate! Big help!
So i need to DNA my foal and mare to register him, my question is, is this worth it (quoted £300 approx) or should i passport him with no breeding, due to the state of the market? (never intended to keep this foal) He is a smashing foal and a really nice animal, typically!

Really appreciate peoples thoughts?

I would do the DNA test, it really isn't that expensive when you consider how much you will deplete the foal's value if he has no breeding at all.

is this the chestnut colt foal on Horse Deals? If so, definitely get the DNA done, he is lovely and it will be worth it. I am not a fan of the stallion himself, but your mare must have brought a lot to the party!
