Long story short new livery on the yard - horse has kicked one of the workers and has kicked out at many other people including myself when trying to bring my own horse in from the field. YO has been on hols for last couple wks and is back tomoro - TBH would I be out of order saying I dont want my horse in the same field?

Not at all. Your safety should come first. In all honesty the owner should realise this and maybe ask to have her horse out with someone who doesnt mind it or just see what you YO suggests. All i would say is be careful with the politics- i recently bought a horse that kicks, only when provoked so a bit different i guess, but im trying so hard to get him out of this behaviour, and id hate everyone to suddenly turn against me because of my horse. Be discreet is what i mean i guess, the kicking ist her fault, but she should know this and be the one to take action, for the sake of other liveries!!!

I had a kicker

She smashed a 12 year olds leg who had to get air lifted to hospital

God I felt SOOO bad, but there is bugger all you can do to stop them, she was just a very dominate mare

Lovely with people but if a horse even looked at her, she would cow kick out with no warning and full on power so if it connected with something it would do damage

I tried my best to always warn people, never leave her tied up, kept out of warm up rings at shows etc

Everything you can think of and she stil seriously hurt someone

It was such a stress to be around her, u had to be so so careful and never let your guard down. Even doing rugs up was a nightmare as if hire in next stable moved she would lash out.

I'd not ever buy one again , too stressful.

Of course it wouldnt be ! If she gets a nasty kick in at you or your horse, it could result in the horse being pts or you ending up in hospitakl unable to ride !
:) safety first

Absolutely not !!! The kicker should not be in with other horses at all - it's risking both them and the owners. Take it from me, my first pony was kicked so badly by a known kicker that he had to be PTS - his leg was kicked clean off.

I do hope you get this sorted :)
