say if someone wanted to come in two days time to view and someone else phoned and wanted to come same day and you said no, because you already have someone coming that day and time, then they said could they come three hours before the other person... what would you do?

I've always thought it fair to do a first come (first phoned) first served basis, but I've had a couple of people not turn up, and don't want to put people off...

If you like the sound of the people then i would let them try on the same day, there would be no obligation from the other people if they didnt like your horse would there.

All is fair in love and war.... and in selling horses. The ones coming two days later might be timewasters. I would phone the people who rang first and let them know about the other people, if they are genuine they will get themselves over first so they don't miss out. If they can't then I wouldn't accept any offers until both lots of people have seen the horse, that way you can let the horse go to the people you think would be best for your horse

I'd say yes - you want to sell. So I'd be very happy to see several potential buyers on the same day (at different times).

If you are available when they want to come I would say yes regardless if someone has arranged to come at a later date.

I looked at my lad when someone had already arranged to come the following day and I bought him.

TBH if I was that desparate to buy a horse I would arrange if at all possible to see it the same day as I saw the ad

Always think it best to be honest with people but that doesn't mean you have to bend over backwards for them. Get both people over on same day and at different times. Tell each of them there is someone else interested (which is only to be expected). It will help you choose most suitable buyer and concentrate their minds on whether they want horse or not.
