Having just got a whippet puppy, who is ten weeks old on monday I have the oppurtunity to have a two year old lurcher but am unsure.

On one hand two dogs, twice the trouble but I feel my pup would benefit for the company when I am out and the lurcher is good with dogs. My pup has also been socialised with new dogs and is proving to be a good natured dogs so far no problems.

But I am worried the age gap might be a problem. What does anyone else think?

Depends on the character of the older dog and the size, a very playful greyhound size could be too much for a whippet puppy, but a small lurcher, of whippet size would be ok size wise. You just have to compare size and temperament and let you head make the choice and not your heart

Good luck
