Advice Required on Top Hat

I plan on doing a CCI* later this year.
Work have kindly bought me a Kentucky Tailcoat which is navy. I now need to get a top hat to go with it. The question is should I buy a navy top hat or a black one?
I have looked at some of the badminton photos and it looks as if even those with navy tailcoats have black top hats !

I agree with p_g but i would prefer everything matching plus women traditionaly wear navy.

No idea about dressage, but in showing we only wear black top hats with our navy jackets. But as we also wear 5.25" tall ones compared with your squashed ones, I am probably not the best person to listen to!
