Good afternoon, we are currently waiting to get mains water on to our field and are in the process of laying the pipe work.
As its a field we are classed as high risk so from anglian water we have been given a long list of things we need to do to get the inspection passed.

Firstly we need an inspection chamber with a double check valve and stop tap.

Then at the tap end we need a second stop tap, double check valve, drain off tap and then the tap.

This is where I am becoming stuck. Their images are not great and I can not figure it out online. We have to use a 32mm moped pipe for the water.

If anyone can show me I the most simple terms possible this would be great.

Thank you

Might be easier to get water company to put a new connection in for you and to attach it to the Mains, with your own meter , what you do after that they won't inspect.

Water board are attaching to the mains but as they are not allowed on private land to do the work the rest is left to us.

Also it all had to be inspected prior to being connected to make sure it adheres to current policies.

They should have a list of approved plumbers who can do your side of things and will understand what's needed. That's what I did with mine (also Anglian W but not a complicated project).

I have been given the details but was just being if we could fathom it out first so we have a bit of knowledge. When we are looking at over £5500 just to get water to one tap was also hoping to be able to do this bit ourselves.

I had this too. When we did ours we just put a tap with a double check valve inside the boundary, on a wooden post with a cupboard built around it. We buried blue pipe from that to the meter and they connected that for us.
The man who originally came to inspect and told us about the double check valve, or we wouldn't have known (it's just a bit on the tap). Once I had my supply in and signed off, I dug a 1m deep channel and teed blue pipe off it to my yard where I installed a tap with another check valve.

We have done similar to Meleeka, you can hire a moler thing to dig to bury pipe or just get good contractor in. I'm assuming price is so high as mains water they are connecting you to is a way from your field?

I had a new meter fitted in my field by water company for free (there was already mains in my field and a water meter) as when I bought field it came to light one meter was serving multiple people's fields

I wish it was a distance to the field. Its actually about 5m, then we have to put in the chamber and pipework etc

5m is doable by hand, over a couple of days. That's about what mine was from the meter to the boundary, only mine was slightly harder as we had to go under a ditch too. The water company did all the connection to the meter we just had to do the pipe and leave it sticking up for them to connect.

The 5m is just to the inspection chamber, the pipe is then travelling 50m to the tap.

There is no building to do an outside tap it is a completely new connection.

All I really need is photos of someone's set up and hopefully I can figure it.

I will take some shortly.

I'd forget about the 50m but until after they've connected you, otherwise it will all have to be inspected and approved. If you build a box on your fence line, you only need that bit approved. This was mine. I would have been wood, but my dad did it for me. Unfortunately my horse rubbed on it and it's no more, but it was lovely at the time. This housed an outside tap on a post. (as I remember it had to be protected from livestock). We didn't connect it to the yard until after we were turned on.

Thank you. Unfortunately I have the trench dug and pipe ready to go it is just the tap end that I can not grasp. One reason why we are taking it 50m is because the caravan club are having 3/4 of a acre to have to make sure its all correct. Will be seeing off the give animals a separate tap once we pass inspection.

Please excuse the state of my poor tap! This shows the valve and the tap. Ignore the bit i've blacked out as that is the connection down the field to the yard, which we added later.
