Have seen several posts on here recently about horses with injuries being sold and then sold again as sound and rideable. My old driving pony was sold to a childrens farm after he had a very serious driving accident to be a lead rein pony , on the understanding that he would never drive again (was also promised they would never sell him without contacting me).I have heard they have money problems and were selling up so searched the web and found the pony on horsemart for £1600 (they paid £700 3 years ago) not mentioning his lamminitus and describing him as suitable for driving. Should I contact horsemart? Can they do anything? Is there anyone else I can go to? I sold him so that he would still have a useful life , even if I could find the money to buy him and keep him he would never be more than a field ornament .

Ah Helen I am so sorry to hear this

. Unfortunatly I can be of no help whatsoever but I would definatly contact horsemart and the place that are selling him. TBH they would be lucky to get that sort of money for him the way the horse market is at the moment. If you get him back I can provide a little rider so he can be more than a field ornament!!!!

Iv gone through exactly the same thing recently, the person who currently has the horse i sold wont take less than what she paid for him so i cant buy him back as i cant afford too, he has shivers and is a bit nuts so cant be ridden but she was lied to when she bought him (for twice what i sold him for), as far as im aware there is nothing we can do about misleading adverts, unsound horse being sold on as rideable etc, im so sorry this has happened to your pony, its heartbreaking and i know exactly how you must be feeling.
