Horse just been taken to rossdales to have fetlock joint flushed out as went hunt ride Sunday been sound till yesterday came down this morning was hopping lame couldn't bear weight on front fore after X-rays and tendon test leg clipped and found a forn and taken straight in. They say it might take two flushes to get the infection out. Has anyone else had this op done on their horse and been successful. What is recovery rate . Very worried.

Did you mean a thorn? My understanding is that there's a "window" of about 8 - 12 hours for successfully flushing joints otherwise any infection that has been introduced can take hold. It's a GA procedure and I think if the 2nd flush isn't successful they can do more but the prognosis gets poorer and poorer each time. Fingers crossed for your horse.
