Has anyone experienced this after worming

I wormed my horses and ponies beginning of march and a week later one of the ponies started scouring to the extent it was water. Vets tried him on steriods but didn't work then tried codeine sulphate still no change. Bloods were taken results were good apart from him having low protein. I removed him off the grass and stabled him for 5 days still no change. Tried loads of pro/pre biotic products, charcoal but no change. Poor pony has lost loads of weight.

I dont have experience of this but a friend nearly lost her colt after worming he also had low protein levels and was taken in as he wouldnt eat and was dehydrated, he was in the vets for about a week they did various tests while he was there but couldnt really say what it was, his symptoms started a day after him having equest, what wormer did you use?

I would be tempted to ask your vet if colonic ulcers with those symptoms; any ulcers in the gut could be severely irritated by worming
