Hi everyone,
I need some advise, as my lovely forward going, jump anything mare has lost her confidence.
She is 5 1/2yrs and has done abit of everything, inc jumping js and doing Xc and a ode.
She normally jumps 80/90cm no problem, however last week we went cubbing, which in its self was no problem, she was really really good.
The problem came when we went to jump a solid log which was 90/1m, show as going for it quite happy following another person. thought this would be a good idea to help her out. However the lead horse suddenly stopped and slammed into the fence! I was following and Tatti went to jump but then stopped halfway up the log. She then scrabbled back off the log, but she was then scared. We left, but had a really small log to jump (1ft) which she wouldn't jump. It took my several attempts to get her over as the field had left us behind. We caught up ok and I jumped 2 more fences to help her before we finished.
She seemed ok.
Long story short, went Xc schooling and she seemed ok,a little hesitant but jumping.
Yesterday was at a hunter trial and she refused to jump practically everything!
Even the small log piles.
Please help and advise to get my lovely girl back to normal.

I'd take her back to basics for a while. Start just walking and trotting over a pole on the ground, and raise the pole gradually, maybe not even in the first session. You can also make a small grid with ground poles and a cross pole at the end to encourage her jump after a few strides of confident trot. But, to start with, I'd just go for a nice hack or do some flatwork, to get her mind off jumping for a while.

Are you sure she hasn't pulled something and is hurting? I would stop jumping for a bit, watch her like a hawk and see how she goes.
