Hi I'd heard that there was a regulation regarding how tall a rider could be in relation to their horse, if you wanted to affiliate in bsja showjumping. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this and could possibly give me any more information? I was also wondering whether you could affiliate a 14"2 new forest as a horse? or would they clasify it as a pony and apply rider height restrictions?

Sorry for the long post just in need of more information !

No height restrictions as far as I am aware... If you are older than 16 ( Or as of the 1st Jan the year you are 17 ) you are no longer eligable to ride ponies. You can as said above though register your pony as a horse, allthough kicking a 14.2 round a fox would be rather scary IMO down the distances...

Ditto above. Never heard of a height restriction for the rider, only age ones. If you're under 16 you must ride as a junior, which means you're not allowed to ride a horse in the class, however, you can ride your horse in a senior class. Once you're over 16 you ride in seniors, and if you don't want to get a horse, you can register you're 14.2 as a horse. If that makes any sense? :D xx
