I'm considering buying my own haylage next autumn but am unable to keep open bales at my yard.

I've never bought this myself before so can anyone please recommend a good quality but reasonably priced wrapped variety (my horse is a good doer on a well balanced bucket feed so it doesn't need to be hugely nutritious, just tummy filling).

All haylage is wrapped, its the nature of the product.

I'm not allowed to store unwrapped bales hence the difficulty with hay

It would probably help if you gave some idea of your location, as what is available varies from region to region. I presume you are looking for small bale haylage?

You can get haylage suitable for good doers - I use Topscore Haylean for mine as it is not too high in calories and seems to take them ages to eat it. Much cheaper than Horsehage too. But I think Topscore is only available in the South East.
