I love Afghans, sadly OH cant stand the sight of them
My Aunt had a fab Wolfhound years ago(her first giant breed).Loved that boy to death and he did well in the ring too.Shame she diddnt have enough time to show him properly, only ever did a few a year for fun.
I have one and he's fabulous! A great big tinker stinker. A lot of absolute dross is spoken about Wolfies...They are not as lazy as people often mistake them for as they are good natured and rarely complain and this can be confused with contentment. Stubborn as mules but loyal if they bond with you to the death. I am biased but they are not like any other dog I have encountered. They need you most of all as the bond if they form it is unbreakable.
Your wolfhound is lovely!!! I'd love a wolfhound but havent got the room for another bed!!! I havent known many but they all seem to have fab temperaments and are very laid back.
I take my boy hydrotherapy swimming on sat mornings. The dog that comes in after him is a huge (as in tall not fat) wolfhound. Makes my boy look like a terrier!!! Its so funny watching the WH being lifted into the pool!!! He can bridge across and there is no moving him!! From time to time he just stops swimming and floats!!! Hes so funny!!!!
they are incredibly stubborn and so laid back! Ours absolutely refuses to swim but will run in water...pity as hydrotherapy is a fantastic tool and we wish we could use it for him!
