After 8 long long months....

I was finally ready to ride my youngster!
I've been recovering from a badly broken leg, and did at one point think I was never going to ride again. But, I started off riding my older mare, then after a month or so, this weekend decided to ride him
He was the one I had my accident on and although it wasn't his fault in any way, I felt nervous about riding him again. But he was really good

I too rode my cob after 10 months off together, i had a baby and today was first time for both me and cob.
We went for a plod and she was her usual chilled out self so pleased

Well done. That is excellent news! Had someone else been riding him or was that the first time in eight months for him too?

Someone rode him for several weeks, but other than that he's been a pony of leisure ! So pleased it went well.

So pleased to hear your story and you've had a positive start to the getting back in the saddle process. I am on day one of a talus bone fracture (riding all yesterday), and hoping it isn't any more serious than that (scan results awaited).

How did you feel getting back on? I got back on post fall and later at night realised I might have hurt myself more seriously, by the time I get back on I'm worried what my confidence will be like.
