How much difference did you find it made?

Did you experience an improvement in your own riding (balance, position etc.) and was there much difference to your horse?

Yes noticed a fair amount of difference. I now sit in middle if my saddle in middle of my horse instead of way off to 1 side- its great!!

Horse much happier no more kicking when saddle put on him, no more blowing out so can't girth up. Stride longer & more consistent & wil now starting 2 maintain an outline so getting somewhere

Along with saddle being fixed horse also had physio 2 help with the soreness saddle had caused

I wasnt aware mine was sitting wrong til my RI commented and said it could be preventing my jumping position. Well hopefully I collect the recommended remedy on Saturday and Tiga71will be the first to jump my boy Sunday morning. I shall hack Monday & report back!!

My horses was too tight at the front I now have a wider one and he feels so much better, huge floating trot and is starting to work in an outline at last, his walk has got much faster too, my position is much better as his not bouncy anymore just going forwards which makes riding much easier, took a while getting used to a very wide saddle though but feels much more comfortable now.

I noticed a huge difference in a horse I knew... (this is going back a few years though)

Before saddle fit, horse was girthy, would bite, strike and try and run through you when the girth was being done up. When being ridden, he would run instead of working properly and when he got really bad... he would not have been out of place at a rodeo, bucking, rearing and spinning.

Afterwards, his rider could not believe the difference. He worked in a frame, no running, bucking or rearing. It looked as though his rider had a more stable position too

Wow I am glad you all had a positive difference, I have been struggling to get my TB to go in an outline and whilst I am having lessons with a new instructor after having a year off and I'm trying to break a few bad habits, I was hoping it wasn't just down to my poor riding skills ;)

He is also girthy and tries to get away when you go to put the saddle on.

Saddler is coming next Friday so here's hoping it'll make a difference to both of us :)
