I was with him. He remained at home throughout until he was PTS yesterday. I rarely left him.

That's my most recent picture, taken on the 5th of this month.

I hate being in the house without him, yet I go over to the field and Tweenie is missing too.

I feel I have nowhere to go that doesn't make me feel desperately sad. I always said I'd never have another dog after him, he was first ever dog, but I just want to replace what's missing in our lives. I miss him not coming to the door when I come in, not being on the bed of a morning, cuddling up to me on the sofa. I even miss his constant doe eyes, begging for food.

Most of all I miss running my hands through his super soft coat and giving him a great big squish.

Cocker Spaniels are just a real life cuddly toy and I would give anything, anything to be able to spend just one more day with him.
