How long would it be before you would expect to see behaviour changes?

As with a lot of things, it totally depends on the dog.
Mine was done at about the same age, well, a bit older and I saw a change in a few weeks, but I was also putting a hell of a lot of training on him before and after so I will never be too sure what made the bigger difference.
What kind of behaviour are we talking about? Humping, dog aggression?

Oh nothing terrible he just scent marks his bed ect he was done a week ago tomorrow

I'd maybe get him a new bed or deep clean the one he has. He'll mark the same place if he smells himself there if you see what I mean.

Waffled a lot!
We had out 14 month old dog done about a month ago - it took about two weeks until he totally changed behaviour.

Neutering doesn't always guarantee any behaviour changes and shouldn't be relied on to amend unwanted behaviours. Only way to change things is to train it out of the dog. Remove all the old bedding, even if you think it's clean it's not.
